| What is Our Goal?
On November 30, 2009, The Henry Nehrling Society acquired the remaining 6 acres of Henry Nehrling's original Palm Cottage Gardens to preserve Nehrling's legacy as one of Florida's outstanding pioneer horticulturalists. The home and garden will become an education center focusing on Historical Preservation, Horticultural Education and Environmental Conservation. The Society is seeking donations and pledges from individuals, businesses and organizations. Please click on the Donate button to make your tax-deductible donation. This Palm Cottage Gardens site is on the National Register of Historic Places and was recognized as one of Florida's Most Endangered Historic Sites. How Can You Help? By purchasing Honorary Deeds, or making a Donation or Pledge. Honorary Deeds to parcels of the property are available beginning at $50 for a one square yard parcel. All donors will receive an Honorary Deed and will have their names permanently recorded at the site for their preservation efforts. Donors of $25,000 - $50,000 will have the opportunity to name one of the principal garden paths at Palm Cottage Gardens. Donors of $50,000 to $100,000 will have the opportunity to name one of the principal buildings or garden sites such as:
