Nehrling Gardens (a project of The Henry Nehrling Society) is seeking multiple part-time volunteers who can help us to develop strategies and activities to promote public interest and awareness of the project. Volunteers will act as spoke persons for the organization and establish cooperative relationships with all forms of media entities.

Positions are 5-10 hours per week (hours are flexible).

Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Volunteers will work with all forms of media activity, including our website.
• PR individuals will network within the media community to pitch our organization's story, information about our projects, and publicize events and campaign activities.
• Write press releases and articles to be used in media communications (including the Society's newsletter) as well as Society archives.
• Update media contact database as appropriate.
• Research and propose new methods of promotion.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills, and an outgoing personality.
• Network as appropriate to increase the Society's contacts, resources, and public engagement.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
